OUR PASTOR

Some may know him as “Rev”, others as an astute intellectual, prolific orator, gifted preacher, dynamic teacher and others as a beloved father, husband, and loyal friend.  No matter your point of reference there are few places you will travel on this side of heaven without having heard about Pastor Curtis Green.  Dr. Green was born to Bishop and Rosabell Green.  Pastor Green is a native of Pike County, Zebulon, GA.  Dr. Green has a unique call to the ministry of reconciliation, order, and has the distinct ability to transcend tradition in his delivery of the gospel, through widening spiritual parameters in order to reach diverse people of manifold backgrounds, cultures, and denominations. 

A preeminent scholar, Dr. Green graduated from Pike County High School and went on to attain a Bachelor of Arts in Theology, a Masters in Divinity, and a Doctorate in Religious Education.  Pastor Green attended Gordon College of Barnesville, GA, Southern Crescent College of Griffin, GA, Luther Rice College and Seminary of Lithonia, GA, Carver College of Atlanta, GA, and the Gospel Theological Seminary of Houston, TX.

Dr. Green is Senior Pastor and organizer of the City of Refuge non-denominational church, formerly known as the Rock of Ages Missionary Baptist Church of Decatur, GA.  The City of Refuge church accommodates a growing membership of people who frequent the sanctuary weekly to be invigorated and transformed by the uniquely powerful preaching of this awesome Man of God.

Dr. Green is an author and much sought after minister who continues to make an indelible mark on the world.

 

Dr. Green, is the proud husband of LaWanda M. Green and father of four children: Chelsea, Jaliaessa, Curtis Jr., and Carson.
